AMOΕNOS Vineyards
MOΕNOS Vineyards were born from the collaboration of small-scale growers and winemakers in the Amyndeon zone—where the peaks of Mount Verno, Voras and Vermio meet the lakes Petron, Vegoritida, Zazari and Chimaditida. This landscape, defined by its distinctive microclimate and unique soil composition, forms a terroir of exceptional character that nurtures the production of fine wines.
The philosophy of AMOΕNOS is to support and preserve small-scale viticulture by creating a dynamic growers’ collective. The community’s vision is to highlight, on a global level, the lesser-known subregions of Amyndeon that hold tremendous potential, producing grapes and wines of outstanding quality. The twelve producers involved collaborate at every stage—from vineyard management and supply chain operations to experimental cultivation—building a more sustainable future for the region.
Quality is a non-negotiable value.
With respect for nature, all viticultural practices are guided by minimal intervention and responsibility: herbicides are avoided, while modern technology assists in monitoring climatic conditions and ensuring the sustainable management of the vineyards.
2024
At the same time, AMOΕNOS Vineyards actively participate in national and international research programs, aiming at the continuous improvement of viticultural practices, the evolution of the Xinomavro variety, and the application of innovative winemaking techniques. Each bottle thus authentically reflects the ecosystem of Amyndeon and the dedication of its creators.
Philosophy
A new generation of oenologists stands at the helm of this initiative, giving voice to a vision that bridges tradition and innovation. With academic knowledge, fresh ideas, and international experience, they approach viticulture with a contemporary mindset and a passion to reveal Amyndeon’s full potential.
With respect for the environment and a spirit of experimentation, they craft wines that authentically express their origin and capture the vibrant energy of a new generation.
They are not merely winemakers – they are the creators of a new era for the region, driven by a vision to place Amyndeon’s wines on the global map, proving that this land can stand proudly alongside the world’s most distinguished wine regions.

Greece’s northernmost viticultural zone is renowned for its semi-continental climate, sandy soils, and altitude — factors that give wines of freshness, purity, and refined character. The unique terroir, combined with the Xinomavro variety and the dynamic presence of international grapes, makes Amyndeon a true benchmark on Greece’s wine map.
Whether it’s a crisp white, a refined rosé, or an elegant red, every AMOΕNOS wine is a sensory narrative honoring place, people, and passion.
White Dry

A bold yet graceful blend of Xinomavro and Merlot. Structured yet smooth, with rich aromas, velvety tannins, and a long, persistent finish — a true reflection of the region’s elegance and strength.
Each label tells a story — of land, people, and a new era emerging in Greece’s northernmost wine zone.
A land of borders and cultures, with vineyards that embrace altitude and yield wines of intensity, purity, and aromatic vibrancy.
At the crossroads of mountain and lake, Amyndeon and Florina produce wines that carry the strength of tradition while looking firmly toward the future.
The vineyard’s development on the plateau, its exposure and orientation, the semi-continental climate, the proximity to Lakes Vegoritida and Petron, the soil composition, and the age of the vines together shape a rare terroir.
The result is a multifaceted expression of the variety through a diverse range of wine styles — from age-worthy dry reds to semi-sweet reds, rosés, sparkling, and dessert wines.
Location: Amyndeon
Total area: 5hectares (plus grapes sourced from 12 collaborating growers in the region)
Orientation: Northwest
Slope: 4–5%
Altitude: 620–710 m
The viticultural ecosystem of Amyndeon is defined by sandy, light soils, low in organic matter yet with excellent drainage capacity. The vineyards develop on calcareous alluvial subsoil, formed from ancient lake deposits. These conditions foster root systems with dense branching and abundant capillary roots, ensuring balance and vigor in vine growth. The region belongs to the protected NATURA 2000 network, highlighting its environmental significance and the sustainable dimension of its viticulture.
The climate is semi-continental and plays a crucial role in developing the grapes’ rich aromatic and phenolic complexity. Cold winters, with frequent rainfall and snow, provide the vines with the necessary period of dormancy to withstand the dry, arid summers. The lakes on either side of the zone act as natural regulators of the microclimate, ensuring balance and allowing the cultivation of both Greek and international varieties. The pronounced temperature differences between day and night enhance aromatic intensity and complexity, while the frequent northwesterly winds of varying strength throughout the year guarantee excellent vine health.
